Krystal Ashworth, Licensed Acupuncturist
Krystal Ashworth earned her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) in 2012, graduating from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, after a four year post-graduate program of over 3000 hours of in-class and clinical training.
As an intern, Krystal had the opportunity to treat patients in many varied settings, including working in conjunction with MDs, RNs and counselors treating at Women’s Health Services at Solana Center, La Familia Homeless Shelter, treating the public at the on campus clinic at Southwest Acupuncture College, specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Japanese Acupuncture, 5 Element Acupuncture, and Chinese Herbal Clinics.
Krystal is certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine, encompassing Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology, by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners as an Acupuncturist.
In the state of New Mexico, where Krystal studied, Licensed Acupuncturists are granted the status of Primary Care Physicians due to their extensive training in both western biomedicine and Oriental medicine. Krystal is proud to bring this training to her patients in Texas, and is confident that she is qualified to treat and promote her patient’s health and wellbeing.
